Her work is characterized by a profound exploration of space, matter, and perception, blending traditional techniques with contemporary approaches.<\/p><p>From her start at the <strong>Madrid School of Architecture<\/strong> (ETSAM), her curiosity led her to delve deeper into art, expanding her training at the <strong>Faculty of Fine Arts at the Complutense University of Madrid<\/strong> after completing her studies at ETSAM. Over the years, she has experimented with painting, sculpture, and mixed media, constantly seeking new forms of expression. Her creative process is always evolving, producing actively and a always looking for new paths.<\/p><p>Between 1980 and 1982, she lived in Toronto, Canada, an experience that enriched her artistic and professional perspective. In addition, between 2002 and 2007, she attended the Department of Painting IV at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Complutense University of Madrid, consolidating her training in the plastic arts.<\/p><p>Some of her highlighted projects are:<\/p><ul><li><strong>M\u00faltiplos 3D Siracusa: <\/strong>An installation that fuses three-dimensionality with spatial perception.<\/li><li><strong>Territorios m\u00e1gicos de Ontalba: <\/strong>A project that invites you to discover imaginary and symbolic landscapes.<\/li><li><strong>Stairs Escaleras a ninguna parte<\/strong>: A visual metaphor about the paths and decisions in life.<\/li><li><strong>Walk Scapes Espacios del andar: <\/strong>A series that highlights the relationship between humans and their environment through the act of walking.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Marta Buenaventura&#8217;s Main Exhibitions<\/strong><\/p><ol><li><strong>Sin g\u00e9nero (de duda) (2020<\/strong>) \u2013 Group exhibition on the occasion of International Women&#8217;s Day, where her work was part of an exhibition exploring the identity and role of women in contemporary art.<\/li><li><strong>1st Mario Saslovsky International Abstract Art Competition<\/strong> \u2013 A high-level event in the field of abstract art, where her participation demonstrates recognition and relevance in the art scene, coming out as a finalist.<\/li><li><strong>International Painting Symposium, Patras (Greece)<\/strong> \u2013 A residency where artists from all over the world come together, where her work was selected by both the jury and her colleagues.<\/li><\/ol><p><strong>Solo and group exhibitions spanning more than 40 years<\/strong>, both in Spain (Madrid, Vigo, San Sebastian, etc.) and abroad (New York, Salzburg, Porto, Grenoble, Nimes, Montichiari, Santa Fe, etc.), reflecting her artistic career and evolution.<\/p><p><strong>Prestigious institutions<\/strong> such as the National Library, the Julio Gav\u00edn \u201cCastillo de Larr\u00e9s\u201d Drawing Museum, and the Maite Sp\u00ednola Museum have incorporated Marta Buenaventura&#8217;s work into their collections. This recognition reflects the relevance of her work in the contemporary art scene.<\/p><p>Marta Buenaventura&#8217;s work is characterized by a profound reflection on space, form, and human interaction, fusing her architectural training with a unique artistic sensibility.
